The Sun Valley Center Arts & Crafts Festival is among the top 100 art and craft shows in the country. The Larry Harris "List of the Nation's Best Art Festivals" ranks the festival among the top 20 in the Pacific Northwest and California.

The Valley's largest event celebrates the mining heritage of Ketchum and is full of activities including a shoot-out on Main Street, an old fashion fiddlers contest, kiddy carnival, and centerpiece to the event is the Big Hitch Parade. The parade is the largest non-motorized parade in the Pacific Northwest and features museum quality wagons, buggies, and stagecoaches from around the countries. The Big Hitch is the grand finale to the parade. It is a massive historic Ore Wagon once used to haul ore for refinement to Ketchum. September 18th-20st, 2009 Spiritual Film Festival.
The Sun Valley Spiritual Film Festival offers the public an opportunity to engage with filmmakers and spiritual leaders and enhance the public's understanding of, and respect for, diverse spiritual traditions from around the world.
This festival honors the heritage of Hemingway’s strong bond to the Wood River Valley and Idaho and includes notable speakers and a short story contest.
October 2009
The mountain towns of Ketchum and Hailey, Idaho are the setting for The Trailing of the Sheep Festival. In keeping with the century - old tradition, sheepherders move their flocks from summer pastures in the mountains north of the resort towns of Ketchum and Sun Valley, south through the Wood River Valley to winter desert grazing areas. The Festival celebrates this tradition with a weekend of activities devoted to celebrating the rich heritage of sheep ranching here in Southern Idaho.
The annual Sun Valley Jazz Jamboree hosts over 300 shows in 12 locations around Sun Valley and Ketchum. The bands come from all over the US, Canada and the Netherlands.
